Teacher, 35, had sex with two of her students at her home, in her car and in a park

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A University Preparatory Academy teacher has allegedly admitted to having sex with two students, court records show.

The teacher, who is expected to turn herself into the Kent County Jail on Thursday, has been identified as Jamila Love Williams, 35.

Prosecutors have authorized warrants against her for four counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, an offense punishable by up to 15 years.

A detective, while swearing for warrants against Williams, testified that a 16-year-old boy told detectives that he was a student in her class. The boy told police that sexual encounters with the teacher
happened at his home, a park, her car and various other locations.

Another boy, also a student in her class, also told police that he met the teacher behind his house in the alley and had sex with her inside a car. He is 15.

According to the detective, Williams admitted she was sexually active with the two boys.

Grand Rapids police detectives began investigating Williams after several parents and students came forward to school leaders on Monday to file a complaint.

Williams was placed on administrative leave.

She is listed as a math teacher at University Prep Acacdemy, according to a Linkedin profile.
