Covenant University wins Best Performing Higher Institution of the Year Award 2013
The University was this month conferred with the Best Performing Higher Institution of the Year Award 2013 by the Governing Council of Nigeria Advancement Award.
According to the Chairman, Screening /Award Committee, Barrister Tony Rex Ibaminabo, Covenant University emerged the best in the education category based on a nationwide poll conducted across Nigeria. The University was selected ahead of five other finalists, which include American University Nigeria (AUN), Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), University of Ilorin and Ahmadu Bello
University, Zaria.
In the award conferment letter sent to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo, Barrister Ibaminabo said the award was in recognition of Covenant University’s hallmark of excellence, quality service and exceptional contributions to the advancement of Nigeria. “Your positive values and exemplary leadership to our beloved country Nigeria are worthy of emulation.”

The award ceremony will take place at the International Conference Centre , Abuja on June 20th, 2013.
